Could you run your own Stitchclub franchise ??

We’re looking for some very special people with very special qualities!

It goes without saying that a strong sewing background, though not necessarily formal qualifications, is a must. All of our teachers and franchisees have a genuine love of sewing and creative crafts, and are confident enough in their own skills to be ready to pass them on to others.

  • You may LOVE to sew, and like the idea of working with children, but do you have what it takes to run your own business? We are looking for individuals who have the genuine desire to build a successful Stitchclub business in their chosen area. You'll need to work hard to let everyone know about your classes, convince Head teachers to let you run a Stitchclub in their school, present to hundreds of children at a school assembly, and research and contact local magazines and newspapers to convince them to write about you and your classes ......so you'll need real drive and enthusiasm to fill your classes and spread the word about Stitchclub !
  • You will have excellent organisational skills and be a great administrator – whether it’s researching, finding and booking halls, dealing with schools, liasing with local magazines and newspapers, meeting advertising deadlines, enrolling pupils, ordering supplies on time and preparing for each class, there is always lots to be done outside the classroom too!
  • As a Stitchclub franchisee you will be working closely with children, schools and parents, so it’s important that you are confident, outgoing and articulate.
You may not have formal teaching experience, but you must genuinely enjoy working with children in the 8-16 age group and have the confidence, and personality to motivate and inspire a group of chatty pre-teens and teenagers!

  • Age isn't important to us - as long as you have a fun and friendly attitude that will make your pupils LOVE coming to your classes !
  • All Franchisees will be required to provide an enhanced CRB police check and undertake a child First Aid course - which we can help with - before they launch.
  • Our classes are strictly after-school hours and/or Saturdays, so if you have children reliable childcare is a must. Classroom hours are approx 3pm - 6 /6.30pm on weekdays ( variable)with the additional option of running popular Saturday morning classes, as well as parties and school holiday courses.
  • A driving license and your own vehicle, and excellent physical health is essential as you will be based in a variety of locations and have your Stitch Kit to transport to each class.
